Actually my thinking is just the reverse. I find the .Net environment
more intuitive :-)

I think a lot of it really depends on your background and where you
started.

I thnk since I've been doing MS based development since the mid-90's I
found the .Net environment quite easy to pick up.

Initially I found the Eclipse environment to be Kludgy and slow until
recently (Eclipse 3.2 and WDSC 7.0). The way Eclipse did docking windows
was also a little klunky at first but it grows on you over time :-)

After almost 2 years I am quite proficient with both environments, however
I still prefer the MS environment.

Why ? Because I do a lot of .Net development and other team members do
more Java stuff.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if someone wrote an Eclipse plugin for .Net CLR
stuff. The Mono project may have done that. I haven't checked recently.

BTW, Richard, I know you have been doing a lot of .NET and I just recently
starting doing some. It might be that I am still getting used to how the
IDE's on the .NET side work, but it seems that Java IDE's (eclipse
specifically) are more powerful and comprehensive. Just wondered if you
had
any thoughts on that?
