This effectively means that PDM/SEU developers won't be able to work
alongside you.

Hmm... I hadn't thought about the complete loss of PDM/SEU. Though they
COULD use EDTF '/rpgsource/UTILFN.rpgle' to edit which is *similar* to SEU,
but definitely is different.

If they were to modify WRKMBRPDM to be able to point at a stream file like
CRTBNDRPG can then we would be just fine.

So by tinkering what did you find?

Thanks Buck,
Aaron Bartell

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Subversion

One thing that I am VERY interested in is the possibility of using
Subversion for RPG source code management which Don mentions in the
iSeries Projects section. Has anybody checked out how this works?

Just started tinkering on 6.0.

Subversion is stream file oriented, which means you store your source in
stream files on System i. This effectively means that PDM/SEU developers
won't be able to work alongside you. I work in a mixed environment shop, so
this seems painful. I may be misunderstanding something basic though.
