IBM is already charging for the the development toolset. It's called 5722WDS.
There is nothing free about WDSC.
John (<tic>) isn't Microsoft Word "free"? After all, Microsoft includes it for free in Microsoft Office. I think this is because a few people often refer to IBM provided software as "free". Perhaps it is free to them and they disregard the fact that that average joe/jane shop has to pay for it, or perhaps they're just drinking the Kool-Aid. I've tried to counter this perspective several times in articles and lectures but apparently it was to no end. I don't think anyone really believes WDSC is free and I don't think anyone believes feature "X" is free (when you've already paid for the package, e.g., is MS Word free because its included in Microsoft Office?)
