I think IBM knows its decision to package (screen) Designer in the AE was not the one that their customers are in line with. I believe that they will change that decision relatively soon. As for the install, watch my Installation Experience podcast (available on iTunes by search for "Cozzi") or directly at www.i5podcast.com then click on the episode index under "i5 TV". -Bob Cozzi www.i5PodCast.com Ask your manager to watch i5 TV -----Original Message----- From: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bill Barnes Sent: Friday, March 23, 2007 12:23 PM To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [WDSCI-L] Confused about V7 I have been following the threads about V7 and all and am confused and concerned at the same time. 1. The CODE that is present now for Green Screen and Print Files will only be available to those who purchase the "Advanced Version" True or False? 2. Those that would need the Advanced Version are probably doing WEBSPHERE that has no Green Screens and few Print Files. True or False? 3. V7 can be selectively loaded to limit it to what is needed, leaving off WEB stuff if not needed. True or False? We ordered V7 through our BP. I am a little concerned about loading it (or trying to). Has the difficulty with compiling embedded SQL programs been fixed (not being able to easily correct code because of the extra RPGLE module it brings up)? Has the problem with converting embedded SQL within a DO/IF/For loop been fixed? Has the way I have gotten used to working around my ignorance going to have to change on a move to V7?
