Perhaps the iSeries Table View would work for you until a quicker option 
is found?  It may or may not be quicker than expanding lists depending on 
how you've got your filters set up, but if I am adding source to an 
iSeries Project, I usually 

1. Ctrl-F7 to switch views, select the iSeries Table View.  If it's not 
already open in your current perspective, Window->Show View->Other, it 
should be under iSeries

2. Ctrl-F10 to bring up the "triangle menu"

3.  W to select the Work with submenu

4.  M for Members.

5.  Choose your subsetting criteria - if you want to do multiple members, 
you could choose a broad set of criteria, then use the "position to" 
function to move between them quickly.

6.  Right-click the member, add to iSeries project.


It may seem like a lot of keystrokes, but I've found that once I got used 
to it I could get members more quickly this way than using the mouse.
