John,

I don't know of a way to do what I think you are asking but I am curious. Why
do you want to import the field list? With externally described files I'm hard
pressed to find a reason to import a field list into a program.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] iSeries Field Table View - Using the Table Data

Hello:

I'm curious about at the iSeries Field Table View (right click on an RPGLE
F-Spec File Name and select 'Show Fields').

I want to be able to edit the field list with LPEX editor.

You can't copy and paste any of the data from the table.

Does anyone know if copy and paste could be enabled or if the input to the
table resides in a file on the local PC?

Anyone have a different idea on how to import a file field definition list into
the editor (without having to leave the WDSc environment)?

Thanks,

John
