If you are in an environment where it could paint a bad picture of WDSC if
there were problems during implementation then I would allow the first round
of fixes for 7.0 to come out first. I would guess that means a May
timeframe.

Note that WDSC 6.x with all updates is a solid version in my opinion. So you
aren't losing anything by using that today. David Gibbs did make a comment
that 7.0 runs noticeably faster than 6.0, so if you have lesser PC's then
you may want to wait for 7.0 and the first round of fixes.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] installing version 7.0

Morning;

Our company seems to be getting serious about going to wdsc. Currently, I
have 6.0.0.1 installed on my pc, and haven't used it much since it's a lot
different, and still seems faster to me to do development in green.

My question is what are the steps and pitfalls in installing v7.0

Also, is there an on-line tutorial where I can begin learning how to use
it?

Appreciate your help
