As usual I am in the dark concerning WDSCi. I got a notice at the beginning of the week that V7.0 would be available today and it had all these nice new features to be able to streamline the product for what is needed. Today I click on check for Updates and I get something about 6.0.1.1 May 3, 2006. Then I read the email and there is something about a "seat license" for V7.0. What is going on? I got blasted for making the statement that I thought this was an advanced Beta product. I am beginning to think, now, that it is a bait and switch by IBM to get us into a feature that was included but now is an extra charge item. What I am understanding is that in addition to paying the license fee for PDM we will also be required to pay a seat fee for WDSCi. Since WDSCi is lacking some features from PDM we can't discard it. All that off my chest here are the questions; 1. Is there now a seat charge for WDSCi? 2. What is the status of some of the "bugs" that were to be fixed in the "next version"? 3. Why is an update from May 3, 2006 showing up today as available when last week there were none available? Thanks Bill Barnes Sr Analyst/Programmer The Pantry, Inc 919-774-6700 ext 5211
