Hi David,

Ok, I've check through my notes and v5.1 was the first release of the CL
prompter in WDSC (previously WDSC launched the iSeries java toolbox CL
prompter).
There were numerous issues with this first release, including performance
issues (which are fixed in v5.1.2 and later).
Essentially, in v5.1, the more you prompt, the slower things will get (in
part because resources being allocated by the CL prompter were not being
released)

At this point since v5.1 is no longer being serviced, all I can do is
recommend that you upgrade as soon as you can to a more current release.

thanks,

Violaine,

I was restarting the workbench the following morning instead of straight
after clearing the cache. I guess that was it because now it works as
before. Sorry about that, you must get sick of telling us.

As for the prompter, I have a prompt view that comes up for RPG
programmes
with F4, but for CL there's a separate window.

I'm on version 5.1.0.3. Been begging for the upgrade for months. In 2
weeks
time I start to train the rest of the team. If everyone else switches to
WDSc, I'll get the upgrade.

Thanks
