If you look at the announcement letter or the planning statement for
CODE, you'll see that it's been 'deprecated' - it won't be changed to
support any new releases of OS/400, and it won't be included in future
versions of WDSCi.  Either the product planners are clueless about how
we use this product, they think they have us over a barrel and want to
milk us, or there's some underlying technical issue that they haven't
fixed yet and aren't telling us about.
