<evil grin>

I managed to get it working on a laptop with 384 MB ram, but I had to crank the
PC's virtual memory (swap file) size WAY up to get through the WDSCi
installation. The installation was successful, but the startup time was
painful. Once everything was launched, performance was poor, but usable for
iSeries development.

I can successfully run WDSC in 512 MB of RAM...but it's dog slow...I
upgraded to 1GB of RAM now it's a lot faster & v6 is very stable. I
personally wouldn't recommend using WDSC with less than a GB of RAM.

Thanks,

Dwight,

I just installed WDSC on my laptop last week. I had tried it on my work
PC
which only has 256 Mb of memory and it killed everything. My laptop has
1 Gb
and it went without a hitch. The install process is long and then
running
the updates is even longer - almost 2 Gb of downloads for the updates
alone.
The update took me about 4 hours!

I followed the instructions on Jon Paris and Susan Gantner's web site
and
found them very complete, even as to finding the correct install media.
