The Grasshopper product us an add-in to Visual Studio that let's you use 
some of your new C# or VB skills to write web services that run natively 
on the iSeries under Apache Tomcat. 

You can have a prototype of a native iSeries web service working in a 
matter of minutes.

We've used this tool with our WebDocs iSeries product to create a Tomcat 
based web service using VB code. 

And the cool part is it's VB running natively on the iSeries.

Has anyone done any research on solutions that run on the i5 that can
use existing RPG code or has the ability to develop code to deliver web
services via the i5. I am not interested in a windows based solution for
web services.
