Hi Steven, I recommend that you check the Command Log view to see the result of your command. The error list view displays all the errors that are generated by the compiler (you can choose which errors to display from the view's "triangle menu". As for the icon displayed, that is determined by the compiler, and written to the events file that is used to populate the Error List View. In this case, the events file show that the error is flagged with 'E' for Error (as opposed to informational, terminating etc) and that is why you see the circle with the red 'X'. You should contact IBM support (and ask for the CL compiler folks) if you disagree with this particular error being flagged in the events file this way. thanks, Violaine Batthish WebSphere Development Studio Client, IBM Toronto Lab wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote on 11/15/2006 04:10:53 PM:
I've been dealing with some simple CL programs that don't declare variables, labels, or data areas. When I compile them in WDSC they generate en error listing in the iSeries Error List, with a red X and severity 10 errors. Although sometimes they do generate a CLP program object, I not sure that they always generate the program object. In any case, the red x in the Error List is misleading. Is this a known problem? Here is a sample CL program that will generate this type error list: Steven Morrison Fidelity Express 903-885-1283 ext. 479 /* Simple CL Program that generates error list in WDSC */ PGM STRSBS SBSD(QBATCH) MONMSG MSGID(CPF0000) ENDPGM
