Bruce, FWIW regarding problem 1: Have you tried deleting the Eclipse configuration folder or subfolders? I've seen this help when things appear out of synch. It's usually related to parsers not working correctly, but it might help in your situation also. The folder to delete is: {drive}\Program Files\IBM\Rational\SDP\6.0\eclipse\configuration Mark Phippard made a post which shows how to store saved passwords, etc. His post can be found at: http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l/200604/msg00061.html Regarding problem 2: If you start RPU (Rational Product Updater), there should be an entry 'Interim Fix 6.0.1.2 for Remote Systems Explorer. If not, I would definitely try deleting the configuration folder. If you still can't get the 6.0.1.2 entry, then I would say something went awry in the update process and you're not updated. components
installed (skipped them originally). I finished installing all of the updates (don't EVEN ask how long this has taken) and now I'm seeing a
couple
strange things: 1) I use Arcad Software plugins and the Changer perspective has pretty
much
disappeared. I had installed it prior to installing the updates and it
was
working fine until I installed the WDSc updates. Now whenever I try to start the Changer perspective, I get the following popup message: Problems opening perspective 'com.arcadsoftware.skipper.perspective.skipperPerspective' I sent Arcad Support a message a short while ago to try to get help.
They
have been very good at responding and working with me, so I'll give them
a
little more time. However, if anyone else has seen this behavior, I'd
love
to hear about any resolution. Any clues where error messages might be
found
for something like this? 2) While reviewing information on the problem above, I noticed under
Help
--> About that I am currently at Version: 6.0.0 Build id: 20041117_2230. This seems wrong. I have all updates installed...I think the Version
and
Build id should be at a higher level. Can anyone confirm this? All I can say is...I certainly hope it ends up being worth this much
trouble
just to look at EGL. For now I'd just like to be able to use WDSc
again.
Thanks in advance, --Bruce Guetzkow
