Interesting discussion, however being as this is a WDSc list could you
please either keep the acronyms to a minimum or include an acronym

I found myself losing the thread of the conversation because I kept

people out here that don't always know what you mean by LSB, BSD, etc.

Sorry for the confusion Douglas.  I attempted to use the full description 
of a term before the acronym:

[...] Linux Standard Base, [...] does BSD have something like the LSB?

In retrospect, this was probably not obvious enough to someone who's never 
heard of Linux Standard Base.  I will try to be more obvious in the 
future.
