Group, Interesting discussion, however being as this is a WDSc list could you please either keep the acronyms to a minimum or include an acronym finder search url in your signature, i.e. http://www.acronymfinder.com/. I found myself losing the thread of the conversation because I kept stumbling over the TLA's. Keep up the discussion but realize there are people out here that don't always know what you mean by LSB, BSD, etc.
Sorry for the confusion Douglas. I attempted to use the full description of a term before the acronym:
[...] Linux Standard Base, [...] does BSD have something like the LSB?
In retrospect, this was probably not obvious enough to someone who's never heard of Linux Standard Base. I will try to be more obvious in the future.
