So for all you who want a linux version, do you use linux as your primary OS
for work? Or is it more a hobby interest.  How do you gain access to things
that ONLY work on Windows - do you use VMWare or something?

I am very interested in using linux as my main OS, but right now the
learning curve is just too high (i.e. try installing the latest JDK on
Ubuntu without prior linux knowledge - quite painful).
