Not sure that "firm" is quite the word, but I've seen (not hands on) the new
screen designer plugin (nice job, Don) in the WDSCi roadshow sponsored by IBM
Toronto and Softlanding Systems....

Without actually saying WHEN it's to be released, it was implied that it could
be ready for WDSCi version 7, or possibly that it could be part of a version 7
fixpack.... Just a guess, version 7 should be released in mid 2007...

Note that this is NOT a complete replacement of CODE Designer, since the new
plugin only handles DSPF objects (no PRTF support), but for me, there would be
no need to install CODE for WDSCi.

In the near future, IBM will have a Screen Designer plugin for
WDSCi, allowing us to eliminate the CODE tools.

Eric,

Do you have something firm that the Screen Designer plugin is slated for
the near future? I've heard IBM has it high on their list of functional
requirements, but I had the impression it might still be a while. It
would be great if I've gotten the wrong impression.

Thanks,
Michael
