Hi Peter, 

I am very new at WDSC, however I have my embedded SQL's source code 
defined as SQLRPGLE.
Also, this may not be relevant to you...  when you compile you may have to 
change one of the compile options to COMMIT(*NONE).

Is the source type SQLRPG?  Or SQLRPGLE?  Licensed Program 5722ST1 
installed?
