Hi Mark, 1) This is an excellent suggestion. I have added it to our list of requirements. 2) This is a design limitation (only members types that use the iSeries parsers - CL, RPG, COBOL, C - have Compile and Source menus). It will be addressed in a future release. 3) This is related to #2 and a problem/deisgn issue where the Compile menu doesn't appear when you are not connected - as is the case when you restart the workbench. This will also be addressed in the future. 4) See 3. Hope this helps. WDSC Team, I have a few issues relating to saving source members and compiling. 1) A member being edited in WDSC was locked on a green screen (via SDA
on
the post-compile screen.) An attempt to save the member in WDSC said
that
the member is locked. Why is there is no retry button? The dialog box only asked if I wanted to open the member in browse mode. I had to say "NO" then answer several prompts to do the save. Had I taken the
defaults
my changes would have been lost. 2) When editing a UIM *PNLGRP the compile button does not display at
all.
3) If the last member edited before closing the workbench is a *PNLGRP
(so
it's the one that's displayed by default when opening it again), the compile menu option is gone when reopening. It does not reappear even
when
clicking on an RPGLE tab. If I close and reopen the *PNLGRP member the compile menu option comes back (but still no button.) 4) When opening the workbench and have members open from the prior session, the compile button seems to be active for DDS, inactive for
other
member types (and as mentioned above missing for *PNLGRPs.) The
exception
is when the DDS member is the one that s automatically opening (e.g. the one that was active when shutting down), then the button is not active. Are these items on the enhancement list? -mark
