Violaine,

I selected work offline but I still get the Remote System Connection pop up
window each time I hit the enter key.

subject: Re: [WDSCI-L] Running RSE in disconnected environment

Hi Nick,

The way RSE works, is that if information is requested from the
communication layer and cannot be found in the cache, the user is prompted
to sign on.
The exception to this is if you are working offline (in which case the comm
layer doesn't prompt for signon and sends info not found in cache
messages).
To work offline, right click on your connection and select work offline.
Do the same thing when you are done working offline to connect as
necessary.

thanks,

Using Remote System Explorer when disconnected from the network, I get a
pop-up window prompting for the remote system connection or a window
prompting for the iSeries password every time I hit the enter key. I
reply
'cancel'. In the past I've worked disconnected and didn't have this
problem. I assume this is some preference setting but I'm not seeing it.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Nick
