If you are lazy like I am, you can also copy filter strings in the 'Change' dialogue. This is really nice when I just want to change the member filter, but leave the library and file intact. wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote on 06/07/2006 02:45:41 PM:
I must have tried this umpteen times and never got it to work. I
thought
the "Add" button would add a new string, but it doesn't. Instead, you
need
to click on "New filter string", set your parameters, and then click "Create" near the bottom of the box. This is actually very, VERY cool. I'm still a little put off by the
"Filter
Pool view", if you can call it that (the changes to the UI that occur
when
you check the Show Filter Pools box), but this could help me
significantly.
Thanks, Jim (and Rick and Adam)! JoeFrom: Jim Essinger Joe, Filter strings let you do multiple strings like a list - Right click
on
the filter, open properties, and click on filter strings. You can add as
many
as you like for different libraries, etc. Does that help?-- This is the Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries (WDSCI- L) mailing list To post a message email: WDSCI-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/wdsci-l or email: WDSCI-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l.
