All I can say is that every single install of WDSC has these errors,
regardless of what plugins you have installed, and you would see these
same errors no matter what plugin you tried to install. Including ones
from IBM or Eclipse.

Also, the warning is telling you that you already have the problem, it is
not saying that installing the plugin is going to create the problem.

Finally, if the problem was severe, such as you were missing something
that the plugin you were trying to install needed, then the Update Manager
would not allow you to install the plugin.

I cannot say with certainty that these warnings are not revealing problems
in the plugins being referenced, but the main point is that you already
have these problems and installing additional plugins is not going to make
it worse.

I successfully installed the new Softlanding RSE extensions in the
latest
WDSC through "Find and Install". Someone else tried installing these
same
extensions on the latest WDSC and got an error. I can see discussion of
this particular error before and the latest I see is that Mark said that
WDSC ships with some of these unfixable problems that do not cause
problems.

I saw some of the features mentioned in the error so I came up with the
bright idea to have them try using an alternate workspace.
Unfortunately,
they couldn't see any extensions to install that way.
They are too nervous based on the error they saw even after the link I
showed them hinting it was okay. I can't say I can blame them. They
seem
very interested in installing these RSE extensions. Is someone SURE
there
is not a problem? Has IBM verified this and said it was okay? A link
to a
knowledge base document would suffice. Anyone know of a workaround for
this error?

Here is the error they said they got when selecting "SoftLanding
Extensions
to RSE" to install them (they backed out):
Invalid combination

The current configuration contains errors and this operation can have
unpredictable results.

Any ideas?
