IFS Folder - Show in Table - Last modified column sloowwwww

Hi all,
 
When I am on an iSeries machine of average horsepower I view a list of files
in the IFS and the list is there almost instantaneously, but I then see the
Last modified and Size columns being slowly updated one by one (each entry
initially has a value of "December 31, 1969 6:00:00 PM").  For a folder with
around 200 files in it this can take 3+ minutes. The bummer is that I
usually want to sort by Last modified and cannot until all the records for
that column have been updated by the background process.
 
Anybody else have this issue?  Is there a way to speed it up?
