Hi Peter, Jon, The filter selection function is provided by base LPEX and is behaving as designed. I agree though a "language aware" filter selection would be useful, so I've added it to the list of requirements. thanks, Violaine Batthish WebSphere Development Studio Client, IBM Toronto Lab wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx wrote on 06/19/2006 01:41:55 AM:
Jon, as far as I know, the "filter selection" function will only filter on a line level, not an operation level. But your does make me want to shout "Violaine, is there any more room on your list?" a
selection in RPG IV and it is not showing the full operation.
For example if I have something like this:
myField = lotsOfNewData + %Trim(otherStuff) +
theLastBit;
And filter on lotsOfNewData, I don't see the last part of the statement
without expanding that part of the view - which is less that helpful as
it
may be hundreds of lines. Any way round this? Jon Paris Partner400 www.Partner400.com
