What gets deleted when you delete the configuration folder?

I am told that to fix one of our problems I have to delete the following folder:

C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\SDP\6.0\eclipse\configuration

What gets deleted when you delete that.  I have spent a few hours recreating my 
environment (filters, commands, etc).  I do not want to delete the folder and 
have to recreate everything all over again.  If this stuff does get deleted is 
there a way to save a file that contains this information and restore it?
