As you say, there is autoformatting now, but it takes leaving the line you are on. Or F4 and return. That is better, maybe, or at least different from SEU, where the formatting occurs only when you press F4. But autoformatting can bite pretty nastily sometimes - a command already distributed across multiple lines can get thoroughly screwed up if you make a change on line 1, which, of course, gets processed by the autoformatter with no regard for the continuation. So your idea is nice, I think. I like the idea that I can turn off autoformat, to avoid keying frustrations, then take a keyboard stroke (please, not a right-click menu item that takes 5 clicks to get to what I want) to do the format as defined in Preferences. SUGGESTION TO IBM: Fix the problem where the formatting ignores continued lines.
