Cool! I found there is a preference under "LPEX Editor", not under "Remote 
Systems", where you say whether to see the prefix area. But this is overridden 
for anything opened from the Remote Systems Explorer. The only way to hide the 
prefix area is to use the "set" command. I have not found a way to change it 
with a user key action.
