Mike - For block indentation, you can create a 'User Key Action':
Window->Preferences->LPEX Editor->User Key Actions. Then type 'c-tab' (no
quotes) into the 'Key' field and 'blockShiftRight' (again, no quotes) into
the 'Action' field. The once you have selected a block of text (you
*must* to use block select) you can now hit 'Ctrl+Tab' to indent your
code. I'm not familiar with the SEU option but this works well for me.

You can similarly define 'blockShiftLeft' to unindent. I use
Ctrl+Shift+Tab (c-s-tab in LPEXese) for this.

Rick - Thanks for the tip - I'd forgotten where that option resides.

Speaking of automatic indent ... does anyone else make use of the vi
editor profile. I like to use it once in a while when I'm angry with my
mouse (and arrow keys), but auto indent seems to be broken. Then again,
it also goes back to command mode when one hits 'enter' to end a line. Has
anyone found a way to get around this? Am I the only one crazy enough to
play with editor profiles?

Adam

Re: [WDSCI-L] Indent Feature

Mike,

Buried way down in preferences: "Remote Systems"; "iSeries" ; "LPEX Editor
Parsers" ;"ILE RPG" there is a preference to set "Automatic Indent" to the
number of spaces you want.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Indent Feature

I use the LPEX editor when developing using Free-Format RPG. Is anyone
familiar with a way to automatically indent a block of code? For
example, I have a nestled IF expression that I want to indent forward
two spaces. I have searched through the preferences and coming up with
nothing.

I viewed a WebEx demo on another development tool and this feature was
available. Any thoughts if it does not exist that it might in a future
release?

Any response will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
