Nazmin,

I looked at that preference, and the SQL checking is not activated.

If I turn off syntax checking alltogether, there is no delay when typing
or pasting source.

But if I turn it on, there's sometimes a 15 second delay simply when I
press "enter" to insert a blank line!

Maybe I need to try again after I reboot the pc completely, and not simply
restart WDSCi.

Thanks anyway,

Re: [WDSCI-L] Horrible (non-)performance of WDSCi (Lite) 6.0.1

Hi Peter,

If you do have SQL statements, and have the option of syntax checking the
SQL statements, you will see the hit in performance. The reason being that
SQL statements are sent down to the server to be syntax checked. There is
no SQL syntax checker on the PC.
If you are not editing the SQL statements and want to just enable the
syntax checking of the rest of your RPG source, you can turn off the SQL
syntax checking.
In Windows->Remote Systems->iSeries->LPEX Editor Parsers->ILE RPG, there
is
a check box "Automatic syntax checking of SQL statements (performed on the
server)". Uncheck this radio button.
Hope this helps.

Regards,
Nazmin Haji
