Were exactly is that suggestion?
If it were me, I'd ignore it.
WDSCi wouldn't take advantage of the one or two things a P4 does even
little bit better than an AMD 64.
I think you'd find yourself very happy with an A64 notebook. Heck, if
you really want to fly, try one of the new dual core AMD notebooks.
I run WDSCi on a dual-core AMD at home. Startup time is like < 10s.
Even my old 850MHz Slot-A Athlon w/768MB of RAM seemed to run WDSCi
better than my work PC (a P4 1.6Ghz w 1GB RAM)
