Charles Referring to the original email from " On 06/12/05, thalaivar chengalvaran wrote: Could somebody suggest a Laptop higher of 3.0GHz being used for Eclipse/portal/Cloudscape developments. WDSCi wouldn't take advantage of the one or two things a P4 does even little bit better than an AMD 64. I think you'd find yourself very happy with an A64 notebook. Heck, if you really want to fly, try one of the new dual core AMD notebooks. I run WDSCi on a dual-core AMD at home. Startup time is like < 10s. Even my old 850MHz Slot-A Athlon w/768MB of RAM seemed to run WDSCi better than my work PC (a P4 1.6Ghz w 1GB RAM) HTH, Charles -- This is the Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries (WDSCI-L) mailing list To post a message email: WDSCI-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/wdsci-l or email: WDSCI-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/wdsci-l.
