I've got a laptop - IBM T42 (1.7Ghz) with 1.5Gbyte RAM and 40Gbyte Hard
disk.  It all works perfectly and very quickly

processor isnt so important, what is important is to have lots of memory, I
would recommend 1 Gb or ram, more if you can get it. That seems to make the
most difference, I have found.
