Do they say why? I cannot think of a business reason to do so. Well, the closest I can come to might be one of the following: - If the person learns anything new they might break out of our slavery. (Not worded like that but was actually used at a former employer.) - Might have to upgrade PC's. - Learning curve. - If source is downloaded for local work, how do you handle change management?
