Don't know about the triggers, but as far as *SYS naming... Probably won't work, as *SYS naming is unique to the iSeries and Quantum knows nothing about the iSeries. However, it may work if you change the JDBC driver since *SYS naming is an option. Try the following as you JDBC URL: "jdbc:as400://YOUR SYSTEM NAME;naming=system" HTH, Charles Wilt -- iSeries Systems Administrator / Developer Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America ph: 513-573-4343 fax: 513-398-1121 -----Original Message----- From: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ewout N Boter Sent: Tuesday, October 11, 2005 9:18 AM To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [WDSCI-L] Benefits of Quantum DB I have just installed the Quantum DB plugin, triggered by the recent posts on this mailing list. It sure looks nice. At the moment, I am still exploring the features of the plugin. I have not yet found a way to display the triggers that are defined for a file. Constraints can be displayed by using Properties - References, but I have not seen an option that will show the triggers. Does anyone know how to do this? Another question: is there a way to use the *SYS naming convention, i.e. specifying lib/file instead of lib.file? I am used to using the *SYS naming convention. And still another question: if I have entered an SQL statement in the Quantum SQL Query Editor, I would like to use the keyboard to start the execution of the statement (instead of moving the mouse pointer to the arrow in the upper right corner of the view). Is there some kind of shortkey? In general: what do you think are the benefits of using Quantum DB instead of the green screen? In other words: what do you consider to be 'the unique selling point' of Quantum DB?
