That 49214 is the local port on pc, not on iSeries. The help is powered by a local server on the pc. You can try to see if you can start the help server on the pc manually: 1. In a DOS window, CD to \WDSC\iseries\InfoCenter; 2. Issue the following command (or run the attached ic_start.bat script; pls check if there's a directory called \WDSC\iseries\InfoCenter\eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.help.base_3.0.1; if not, change the name accordingly(I'm not sure what the name is for V5.1.2. This org.eclipse.help.base_3.0.1 is for V6.0; it's probably the same for 5.1.2) : ".\jre\bin\javaw -classpath eclipse\plugins\org.eclipse.help.base_3.0.1\helpbase.jar org.eclipse.help.standalone.Infocenter -eclipsehome eclipse -plugincustomization plugins\com.ibm.help.ic.doc\plugin_customization.ini -port 49214 -command start -noexec" NOTE: remove the double-quote symbols from above command line! The help in WDSCi works but the help in code does not. My help just stopped working. I get the CONNECTION REFUSED WHEN ATTEMPTING TO CONTACT LOCALHOST:49214 error. I am on winxp sp1 WDCSI 5.1.2, I just made sure that I have all the updates installed that didn't help. I don't have a firewall running. I did a NETSTAT and didn't see any thing listening on port 49214. Is there a command I need to run to get some thing going. I looked in the archive because I know this has been a problem but could not find any thing that helped. I also check the HOSTS file and it looks fine. My help has worked with out any problem sense I installed this version months ago. I think the problem is that nothing is listening port 49214. Thanks for any help. Bill
