You have to purchase this option separately as an option..... We didn't purchase it, so... Guess I will wait for the CD's.... -----Original Message----- From: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Paul Nicolay Sent: Tuesday, August 02, 2005 3:33 PM To: 'Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries' Subject: RE: [WDSCI-L] Version 6 Joe, The link to Partnerworld is via http://www.ibm.com/partnerworld and then 'Sign In'. On the next page you'll see 'Download and CD's' after which you'll get the Software Access Catalog for which you need to agree, and login once more (easy system, don't you think) so you can choose Software Access Catalog - Electronic Software Download which will present the final selection form for the software you need. The fun part of this all is that the software can not be used for development (only for evaluation and testing)... so we as BP need to order it as well once more (to receive exactly the same). Luckily I can evaluate it in the mean while and be prepared for customer questions. The total download depends on what you need (it's option based), but what I consider minimal resulted in 3.88 GB (which took me about an hour and 45 minutes to download over a cable connection). What status you exactly need within Partnerworld is handled by my company, so those details I can't give you. I'm trying to do it through the "official" channels as if I were just a regular customer. By going through IBM Direct, I get this 3-4 weeks crap. Someone finally called me back a few minutes ago as a follow up to YESTERDAY'S call and told me that I should check with my BP. When I told him I was an ISV and didn't have a BP, he said I should then call PartnerLine (1-800-426-9990). AIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Okay, Paul, how do I get it from PartnerWorld? What magical links in PartnerWorld did you follow to get the software? I have a PartnerWorld ID, I'll be interested to see if I have authority. If I do, I may start downloading it tonight. Then again, how big is it? I don't have a T1. Joe
