We usually see that when the user is not an administrator or power user.
You have to be at least a power user to use the CODE applications
because they update the registry.

Hello all,

I've loaded WSDCI and updated to 5.3 and I keep getting a window popup
that says I have a "External-command Exception" in Editor. Does anyone
know what causes this? Really, the only reason I loaded Editor was
because of the compare functionality. If there's a way to compare source
in WDSCI I'll do that instead. I've seen the "compare" in the edit menu
dropdown, but haven't been able to figure out if it does the same thing.
It hasn't worked for me. Also, if compare does work in WDSCI, can editor
be removed without removing a lot of other things?
