Notepad is a horrid editor. It is likely that WDSC's editor inserted some stuff like line-endings or tab characters that Notepad does not support. Try opening in WordPad to see if it looks correct. A couple of better Notepad-type editors: Notepad2: http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.html This is wonderful but very, very light like Notepad. In WDSC you can right-click and do Open With -> Text Editor to get a nice notepad type editor. For an HTML there is an Open With -> Source Editor, which gives you just the HTML-aware source editing piece of the HTML editor. Nice because it opens faster and still gives you the HTML editing features. BTW, once you figure out what WDSC's editor did to the file there are likely preferences under the "Web" area to prevent it from happening again.
