If you close WDSc with the editor open, the member appears to be open when you restart the workbench. However, what is open in the LPEX editor is the locally cached copy of the source member in your workspace. You can't compile a local member if it's only on the PC. Maybe that's why your Compile button is missing. Try re-opening the source (even if it appears in your editor window) from your AS400/iSeries/i5 and see if that helps. It seems like it occurs when you leave source open and close WDSCI. Then when you reopen WDSCI the compile option for the source is gone. Doesn't make much sence but this is what I found. -----Original Message----- From: wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:wdsci-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ewout N Boter Sent: Wednesday, February 02, 2005 4:52 AM To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [WDSCI-L] Compile button not available When I have edited a source, the Compile-button on the task bar (with text 'Compile the current source using the last used compile command', the last button on the toolbar) is not available, even if I previously did a compile from the iSeries Table view. I have used the button in the past, but I am not sure when it stopped functioning. Does anyone have a clue? Ewout
