Matt, I tried your suggestion, and when I start RSE, I get a bunch of errors in the command log indicating that the libraries already exist in the library list. Even after that it still won't verify. If I submit a compile to the 400 the compile is successful. So I removed the libl entries from the connection properties. The odd thing is that verify worked fine as recently as last Friday and nothing has changed (at least that I'm aware of). My guess is that this is just another example of the instability of this product. IBM has got to do a better job with this beast. I don't understand why something as simple as an rpgle verify doesn't work consistenly. And simple things like Cut/Copy/Paste shouldn't be so obtuse. I find myself using the UNDO so often that I resort to not using cut/copy/paste and just type the dang code instead. IBM has had years to get this right, and it still isn't making me more productive (as they advertised). Thanks Matt, "When you say "The library list is correct" are you talking about the library list filter under the "iSeries Objects" list in RSE?" Yes that is correct. "I had to set my library list on the properties sheet for the connection in order for the verify to find all the proper DDS and copy books." Is this something new in this release? I don't recall having to do this in the earlier release? Do I need to enter the entire libl (ie system and user portions)? From here you can add additional libraries that will always be added each time you log on to the iSeries via RSE connections. You do not need to specify the entire *LIBL just the missing items. Do you add the library's manually each time to work in RSE? Adding them to the RSE connection properties prevents that. I had troubles getting the verifier to find source/DDS even if I added the library to the list manually. I have not had that problem since adding them to the RSE connection properties. Sometimes webfaced applications on our system seem to take a while to respond or look up after a user has press enter. Should the user just close the window by clicking on the close window "X" in the upper right hand corner? Doing this leaves a job running in the system until it times out and the system ends the job. If it was a green screen application then you could press Shift-Escape to do a system request. Is there a system request option for Webfaced applications?
