Ok, let me put it a different way:  WDSC _will_ run on XP Home, but is _not
supported_ by IBM in that configuration.

You ask why?  XP _Home_ is marketed for the home.  XP _Pro_ is marketed for the
business/power user.  WDSC is business software not home software.  Therefore it
makes sense for them to support it on the OS (XP Pro) that _should_ be used in a
business setting. Plain and simple. :-)

As for the differences between Home and Pro, the MS site has the list someplace.
