More a question than a problem at this point, Colin. I was trying to do a thought exercise to ascertain what happened with static initializers. If what you say is true, would they then NOT get called when you restart an application? It would seem to me that static initializers would only be called once. You know I'm serious about help when I lay bare my ignorance like this <grin>. Joe
