1. Right now, filter pools are not specific to a connection. In the next release, all filters that are unique to a connection will be stored under a special filter pool just for that connection. 2. I've been trying these scenarios out but I haven't been able to reproduce this problem. Do you get any problems if you just try to open that source file in an editor? 3. These are good suggestions and FRED will like to hear them. ____________________________________ David McKnight Phone: 905-413-3902 , T/L: 969-3902 Internet: dmcknigh@xxxxxxxxxx Mail: D1/643/8200/TOR ____________________________________ Vern Hamberg <vhamberg@centerf ieldtechnology.co To m> Websphere Development Studio Client Sent by: for iSeries <wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wdsci-l-bounces@m cc idrange.com Subject Re: [WDSCI-L] 2 questions on 08/01/2004 03:47 filters and moving members PM Please respond to Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries 1. David, I'm glad to hear about the filters. Are filter pools specific to a connection at this time? 2. The problem was in the IFS Files subsystem version 5.1.0. I had a file in my home folder named api0105.rpgle that I tried to drag to the other system. I dropped it over a folder - the little rectangle icon was showing, not the "not allowed" one. It started, then a message window appeared with the text "Operation failed. File system input or output error." The details were "Message reported from file system:" - not very helpful, eh? It failed with a file with the .txt extension, so it does not seem tied to source types. 3. Another thing - I was trying to use IFS files for source (V5R2). When I added a file it did not open the editor automatically, as it does when you add a member. It'd be nice to have improved support for source type extensions when using stream files for source - I know this is new stuff. Guess I'll talk to FRED.
