I've been running into a problem lately.

First, WDSC has been crashing regularly. One of the easiest ways to
crash it is to do a lot of scrolling in the CL editor, but that's not
the only way.

In any event, recently I closed a few members in my custom perspective
based on RSE (basically it's little more than a big editing pane with a
couple of fast views). I closed them, deleted them, and then the
workbench crashed.

The next time it came up, those old members were still open in the
editor, and they showed up in my fast view (the RSE navigator). Fearing
some bad things might happen, I closed them and exited WDSC. The4 next
time I tried to open, I got:

"Unable to read workbench state. Workbench UI layout will be reset."

Followed by:

"Unable to recreate perspective."

When the workbench came up, all my projects and all my perspectives were
GONE. In fact, most of the WDSC perspectives were gone too. All that
were left were CVS repository, data, web and XSL schema. The title bar
shows up blank, and everything else is gone.

This is a pretty nasty little bug, eh?

Joe
