The 'Work with Members' does not branch - except to tell you that you were successful! Filters are all on the same level. Their contents can be a tree if the filter is for libraries or for files (objects) in a library. In a library filter, double-clicking a library opens it up to show the objects in that library. With a right-click you can open the library to only one kind of object. Double-clicking a file will show the members.

Because there can be a lot of stuff to wade through, the object and member filters are good for me to focus on one thing. They do save me time.

As for startup time, Java is a pig. Someone mentioned going to 5.1 - good idea.

Login is controlled by iSeries Access connection settings, I believe - go into OpsNav and see what it says there.

Search window goes away when you click in the source. There may be - I don't know - an option to leave it open while still working in the source. I'd kinda like that - Word works that way, TextPad works that way. It's a design choice.

I have shut down normally and restarted WDSCI now several times. Restart
time is now 30-45 seconds, instead of 6-8 minutes, but why 30-45
seconds?

I have entered my ID and password and checked 'save password' (NUMEROUS
times), but am asked for my password every time I restart WDSCI.
Sometimes it is not until I attempt to open a source, sometimes it is
before the workbench appears.
Is there an option somewhere else I need to set ?

I did a CtrlF to 'S&R'. A nice dialog box appeared below the 'code'
window. I cant' find a way to make it go away. How do I get rid of it?

I then clicked on the search' flashlight' on the tool bar, clicked on
the 'file search' tab, and entered some characters I knew were not in
the currently opened source file.
It has been 20 minutes now and no results, still have 'hourglass', and I
cannot cancel the search.

I like the concept and opportunities this product promises to deliver,
but I am wondering "Is it ready for prime time"?
