Hi, I posed a question about WDSC Advanced licence a number of weeks ago, wondering if I could buy a WDSC Advanced licence rather than numerous WSAD licences.Phil Coulthard replied to confirm my assumptions, however he added that the unlimited licence of WDSC Advanced was only 'for use by iSeries developers only'. We are in a position where up to 14 of our 20 person java team also code RPG on the iSeries. All java development lies on a WAS that uses a database on the iSeries. So my questions are a) what constitutes an iSeries developer ? b) Will I seriously have to buy WDSc Advanced for 14 of the coders and an additional 6 WSAD licences for the others? Seems bizarre. I hope you'll be able to clear this up for me Phil. Many Thanks, Fergal. Phil's reply to my earlier : Yes, WDSC Advanced is a pure superset of both WSAD and WDSC. If you buy WDS Advanced, then you get unlimited licenses of WDSC Advanced, but for use by iSeries developers only. To order WDS Advanced, you order WDS (PID 5722-WDS) feature code 5904.
