> From: Mark Phippard > > The site looks real nice. Are you planning any articles like a "Making of > ...." that explain some of the specific tools within WDSC you used? Mark, look to the MCPressOnline (www.mcpressonline.com) on Monday for the first article on the new version 5.1 of WDSC. Yes, this site took full advantage of many of the new features. And of course, there's always the possibility of a book - WDSC Step by Step. Anybody interested in such a title? > Also, is this the "announcement" you have been talking about, or is > something else still coming? You have us all on the edge of our seats. No, this is NOT the big announcement. This is just the new look and feel of the website, which we'll use for the announcement. We wanted to make sure we're making the statement that you can run on an iSeries using iSeries tools. I'm tired of the platform independence siren song - I wanted to show that you can do everything you need to do using the iSeries tools. If you NEED other platforms for specific uses, great, but the iSeries and especially the incredible tools put out by IBM make that unnecessary in many cases. The big announcements for PBD will come later this year (probably the end of this month) as we roll out version 5.2 of PSC/400. The site alludes to some of the changes - the pricing structure, for example, is all new and provides a lower entry point for people who simply need to get web enabled. But the big announcement will center around the AGF, the Advanced Generation Facility. Keep an eye on the website; you'll see more changes over the next couple of weeks as we get the AGF "ready for primetime" <smile>. Joe
