My V5 WSDi install procedure hangs (as in leaving it running overnight) on
my Win2K desktop; I assume it's because of leftovers from a variety of
previous editions.

I've killed Norton Anti-Virus, Pop-Up Blocker, and general applications. I
removed everything I could using Add/Remove programs. Thanks to Registry
Crawler, I've removed at least 9,000 registry entries (WDSCi, WDT400,
Websphere, WSSD, VisualAge). There are no recent MSIexec.exe's floating
around, and I've deleted all the new stuff in the IBM folder. There don't
appear to be any leftover environment variables.

During the "install", Demo32a.exe and V5R2std.exe are activated but doing
nothing (according to TaskInfo).

Is there anything else I can kill? I've successfully installed this version
on my laptop.

Thanks,
Reeve
