Brad, This message occurs when you launch an action from the RSE that requires one of the CODE tools (like launching CODE editor, Designer, or WebFacing conversion in V4.0) and the RSE connection could not be registered with the CODE communications (RSE connections are different than CODE connections and both have their own communication layers.) Typically this is caused by ... a) Reaching the 20 server limit in CODE b) Having 2 spaces side by side in the RSE connection name (this was a bug in V4 and is fixed in V5) c) Having DBCS characters in the RSE connection name If none of these help then please provide a bit more info like which WDSc version, what action you are doing and the name of the RSE connection. Also take a look at your CODE communication servers (right click on the Communications Daemon in the system tray and select properties...) and see if anything is registered there. Sorry for the delayed response, just ploughing through some email backlog here : ) Don Yantzi WebSphere Development Studio Client for iSeries IBM Toronto Lab Phone: (905) 413-4476 IBM internal: IBMCA(yantzi) - Internet: yantzi@xxxxxxxxxx BBird@xxxxxxxxxxx Sent by: To: wdsci-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx wdsci-l-bounces@x cc: idrange.com Subject: [WDSCI-L] RSE Connection could not be registered with CODE communications 07/10/2003 12:37 PM Please respond to Websphere Development Studio Client for iSeries What do I need to do to stop this message: EVFC2030W RSE connection xxxxx could not be registered with CODE communications.
