I have a similar problem as someone reported before - when I try to open a source member with the new editor, I get the RSEF1002E error. Also, when I first start RSE, I get a message (EVFC1020W I think) that not all host servers are started. Just prior to starting RSE, I did issue the 2 commands to start the servers. I've tried everything that was suggested, and still have the error. I did some looking at the job that starts in the QUSRWRK subsystem when I sign on to RSE, and I found the following errors: CPE3426 - A connection with a remote socket was reset by that socket also CPIAD08 - Host server communications error occurred on recv( ) - MSG_PEEK - TCP As far as I know, I am up to date on both the client and the server side as far as PTF's & Service Packs. The verify connection shows PTF's SI08020 and SI08018 as missing, but as far as I know, the 1st is superceded and the 2nd is not available. The Connection to Record Access service shows as failed, and I think that is the server responsible for jLPEX. The error logs that are located in several places on the PC either did not exist or were empty. My PC is on Windows XP, with all the latest fixes. I've been working on this for a couple weeks, and can't think of anything else to try. Any help would be appreciated.
