All,
I'm trying to use the iSeries Debugger in WDSC 5 without luck sofar. I verified
that the ptf's listed at
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&uid=swg27003837 are installed.

I selected 'Debug As | iSeries Interactive Application' and I get a popup error
dialog that says this:

"A request to run an interactive command or program was received for the RSE
connection PHIL_5.2, but no interactive job is currently associated with this
connection. To associate an interactive job with this connection:
                1. Start the iSeries communications daemon if it is not
already running.
Select the pull down menu from the Remote Systems view and select iSeries ->
Start Daemon
                2. Open a 5250 emulator,
                3. Run the CL command STRRSESVR NAME(PHIL_5.2)
                4. This will associate the interactive job with this
connection, causing this
dailog to close and your interactive command or program to run."

So, I do that at a 5250 session: strrsesvr name(PHIL_5.2).

But I get an error at the 5250 session that says this:

EXPLORER FOR A DIFFERENT HOSTNAME. THE STRRSESVR COMMAND MUST BE RUN FROM
THE HOST FOR WHICH THE CONNECTION IS DEFINED.

All those squares after 'CONNECTION' are the way it is on the green screen too
(well, green RI).

Anyone know what's going on here?

Phil
